Manchester United target Alvaro Morata would be “attracted” by a return to the Premier League, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
The experienced frontman spent 18 months at Chelsea between 2018 and 2019 and has been linked with a return to English football’s top-flight.
Having failed to sign Darwin Nunez and withdrawn their interest in Marko Arnautovic, Erik ten Hag is still desperately trying to bring a striker to Old Trafford before the window closes on 1 September.
United have lost their opening two games and sit bottom of the Premier League following defeats to Brighton and Brentford.
But press believe the Red Devils have been offered the chance to sign Morata, who’s scored 138 senior goals across spells with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Chelsea.
Morata, who is currently playing for Atletico and scored twice in their opening day victory over Getafe on Monday, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Juventus from the Spanish giants.
