CAF Women’s Champions League: Bayelsa Queens Land In Yamoussoukro For Zone B Playoff

The West Africa Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) Playoff is billed to take place in Ivory Coast and Nigeria’s sole representative, Bayelsa Queens have landed in the host nation.

Nigeria Women Football League Champions Bayelsa Queens are placed in Group B alongside Ampem Darkoa Ladies from Ghana, Union Sportive des Forces Armées (USFA) of Burkina Faso, and Athleta FC of Togo.

The competition was earlier rescheduled due to the work in progress in the venues earlier selected for the championship. The matches will be played from Saturday, August 20 to Friday, September 2, 200 in Yamoussoukro, the capital of Côte d’Ivoire.

GROUP A

• AS D’Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire)

• AS Police (Niger)

• Espor FC (Benin Republic)

 

GROUP B

• USFA (Burkina Faso)

• Ampem Darkoa FC (Ghana)

• Athleta FC (Togo)

• Bayelsa Queens (Nigeria)

The Championship is Africa Women’s Champion’s League qualifying tournament. Two teams will represent WAFU B Zone at the main tournament. The 2022 Edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League will be held in Morocco in October.
