Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei is excited to begin his new adventure as a Chelsea player with his move to the Premier League giants expected to be completed in the next couple of days.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster briefly while at the airport on his way to London where he is reportedly scheduled to undergo his medicals ahead of the Chelsea move, the 19-year-old gave his thoughts on the next step for him.
Chelsea and Inter have agreed a fee for Casadei, and so all that is left now is for the formalities to be gotten out of the way on his move to the London-based club.
The deal is worth $20M €15 plus €5 in add-ons and contracted for six (6) years with no buy back clause.
The midfielder had 17 goals and 5 assists for Inter’s reserves last season.
The 19-year-old is reportedly scheduled to undergo his medicals tomorrow, and then he will officially become a Chelsea player, although it remains to be seen whether he will immediately have a place in the Blues’ first team or if he will initially go out on loan.
Asked if he felt excited ahead of the move, Casadei admitted, “Yes, very much so.”
“I’m very much ready to start,” he added. “I’m always ready.”
