Dele Alli arrived in Istanbul last night to complete an initial loan move from Everton to Besiktas. It is believed that an option to make the transfer for the 26-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder permanent is still being discussed between the clubs.
Dele, who only joined Everton from Spurs in the January transfer window on an initial free transfer, will undergo a medical with the Turkish club on Thursday.
The former England international, who was given a hero’s welcome by the Besiktas supporters, is attempting to resurrect his career after being deemed surplus to requirements by the Everton manager Frank Lampard.
Dele made only 13 Premier League appearances for Everton, mostly as a substitute, since Spurs allowed him to leave in January after he failed to impress Antonio Conte.
