The FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup is underway in Costa Rica, and the group C encounter between the Falconets of Nigeria and Les Bleuets of France at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica coming on a pouring Thursday evening.
Nigeria’s Falconets got their campaign off to a winning start after pipping France 1-0 in Group C opening game.
The game which was played in the early hours of wet Friday saw Flourish Sabastine get the only goal late in the second half.
Flourish Sabastine goal gives the Falconets 3 points in the game.
On 20 minutes the game was suspended by Mexican referee Francia González due to heavy rain.
The game resumed and it was France who almost broke the deadlock on 23 minutes from a dangerous corner, with the Falconets keeper misjudging the flight of the ball but the defence cleared the danger.

Relentless Falconets however broke the deadlock on in the 85th minute through a Sabastine strike handing the team maximum point.
The dazzling attacker who ran on to a through pass from Idoko before slotting past the French keeper.
Sabastine continues her great scoring form after finishing with 7 goals in the qualifying rounds.
Falconets have just beaten the European under 20 Champions France while the Falconets haven’t lost a game in their last 10 games with the last draw coming against Cameroon away
The Little Blues have only just suffered their first group stage defeat in their last four tournament appearances.
