En route to the last four phase, the former U19 African Champions led by Coach Sani Mohammed only lost to host Tunisia.

They beat Morocco and Gambia in the other group encounter.

Reacting to the latest victory, Coach Mohammed while reacting to the victory, stated that it was a hard fought result, and that the team remains focused on booking a World Cup ticket.

The finalists of the Championship will have the opportunity to feature at the upcoming World Volleyball Championship.

“I want to commend my players for showing character. It was a tensed game, but we showed superiority.

“We won’t focus. We are taking it one after another. It’s our uttermost desire to pick one of World Cup tickets and make our President Engr. Musa Nimrod and other Nigerians proud,” he said.
