Real Madrid’s manager has said it’s always special to win ahead of the teams encounter with Frankfurt for the Uefa Super Cup.
Madrid ended the 2021/22 season on a remarkable note as they won the Spanish La Liga and a record-extending 14th Champions League title.
The Galacticos now have the chance to begin the new season on a high when they face German side Frankfurt in Finland on Wednesday.
The manager while responding to journalists during the pre match conference said “Last season was my best season because I never won the league and the Champions League together,” Ancelotti, he’s one of the few coaches to have won the Champions League four times.
It’s special to win, it’s always special. If we’re able to win I feel happy, if we don’t win I feel sad,” the 63-year-old said.
Ancelotti maintained that what’s most important to him at the moment is the team he manages.

“It’s not so important (winning or losing the Uefa Super Cup). What’s important now is to enjoy my club, my players is what is important to me.”
Ancelotti won the Champions League twice with AC Milan (2003 and 2007) and twice with Madrid (2014 and 2022). No other coach has won as many titles in the competition.
Also, Madrid’s La Liga triumph last season saw the former Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich coach become the first and only manager to have won league titles in all of Europe’s top five leagues.
